The Best Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins with Honey

A one bowl banana chocolate chip muffin that is sweetened natural with honey. These muffins are soft, sweet and the best treat!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup mashed banana
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1.5 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350° and line a 12 cup muffin tin with paper cups.
  • In a large bowl, mash the bananas until there are no clumps. Add in the olive oil, honey, eggs and vanilla and whisk until it's all well combined.
  • Add in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon and mix until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop the batter evenly into the muffin tin and top each muffin with a couple chocolate chips.
  • Bake at 350° for 18-22 minutes.
  • When the muffins are done, remove from the oven and let them cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days.

Notes

To make these muffins gluten free use an all purpose gluten free flour. 
To make these banana muffins dairy free, use dark chocolate chips.
