The Best Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins with Honey

A one bowl banana chocolate chip muffin that is sweetened natural with honey. These muffins are soft, sweet and the best treat!

- 1 cup mashed banana
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1.5 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350° and line a 12 cup muffin tin with paper cups.
In a large bowl, mash the bananas until there are no clumps. Add in the olive oil, honey, eggs and vanilla and whisk until it's all well combined.
Add in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon and mix until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Scoop the batter evenly into the muffin tin and top each muffin with a couple chocolate chips.
Bake at 350° for 18-22 minutes.
When the muffins are done, remove from the oven and let them cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
To make these muffins gluten free use an all purpose gluten free flour.
To make these banana muffins dairy free, use dark chocolate chips.
