Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp cold butter
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp minced fresh herbs
  • 1 tbsp milk to brush on top of the biscuits

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425 ° and line a baking tray with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and fresh herbs.
  • Cut in the butter under the mixture looks like coarse crumbs. Now pour in the milk and mix until the batter is just combined, and then knead until it's all stuck together.
  • lightly flour a hard surface and press out the dough. You can roll it as well. Cut out 9 evenly sized biscuits and place them 1" apart on the baking sheet.
  • Brush the biscuits with milk, and sprinkle with salt if desired. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden on top.

Notes

Switch up the herbs with the ones you like. I made these with fresh sage. Thyme works really well too! If you don't have fresh herbs, used 1 tbsp of dried.
