Can I make these granola bars gluten free?
Yes, these Chewy No Bake Granola Bars can be made gluten free. All of the ingredients used for this recipe are naturally gluten free, however you must make sure they say gluten free on the label. Many oats are processed in the same factory as wheat and the risk of contamination is high if they aren’t labeled. I used Bobs Red Mill oats for this recipe.
Can I make this recipe dairy free?
This recipe is also naturally dairy free because it uses no animals products. Check and make sure your chocolate chips do not contain dairy, but everything else is dairy free.

Ingredients needed for this healthy snack recipe!
Oats – This makes up the majority of the granola bars. This recipe call for rolled oats, but you can also use quick oats if that’s all you have.
Sunflower Seeds – These add some crunchy bits to the granola bar recipe. Feel free to use whatever seeds you have on hand if you don’t have these!
Sunflower Seed Butter – This is used as a binder for the granola bars. If you don’t need them to be allergy friendly, you can use peanut butter instead.
Maple Syrup – The sweetener for these bars, and adds a delicious flavour, however you can also use honey!
Dried Cranberries – You can add in any dried fruit that you like.
Chocolate Chips – Who doesn’t like chocolate? Use mini chocolate chips for the best results because the bars hold up better with them.
Salt – Just a pinch is needed here for this recipe!
Vanilla Extract – Adds some flavour to this recipe.

How to make this Chewy No Bake Granola Bar Recipe?
This healthy snack comes together in just 15 minutes because it requires no baking.
In a large bowl, measure out the oats, cranberries, chocolate chips, sunflower seeds and salt and then mix them together.
In a bowl mix together the sunflower seed butter, maple syrup and vanilla.
Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and mix well. This will require a little bit of arm work because the mixture will be sticky.
Line a 6×10 baking dish with parchment paper. 8×8 or 9×9 will also work here. Pour the mixture on to the parchment paper. You will need to flatten this as much as possible. Take a small piece of parchment paper and put it between a flipped and the granola bar mixture. The parchment will help keep a barrier between the sticky mixture and your utensil. Flatten out the granola bars.
Place them in the fridge for at least an hour. The oats need some time to soak up some of the wet ingredients.
