Can I make this recipe gluten free?
Yes, you can make this ice cream gluten free! This ingredients are mostly gluten free naturally, but the cookies will need to be gluten free. I have used these ones, but gluten free Oreos would work too!
Do I need a Stand Mixer to make this ice cream recipe?
It’s definitely easier if you have a stand mixer, but if you don’t have one, use an electric hand mixer. If you don’t own one of those, you can try whipping the cream with a whisk. It will take some arm work, but it can be done!

This No Churn Cookies and Cream Ice Cream recipe comes together with just a few ingredients, and about 15 minutes to prepare it!
Whipping cream is needed as the base of this ice cream. One litre is used here.
Sweetened condensed milk adds more creaminess and the sweetness to this ice cream.
Pure vanilla extract is used here to give the ice cream a base of vanilla flavour. 2 teaspoons is needed.
A pinch of sea salt help to bring out the other flavours!
And lastly, you’ll need some cookies! Oreos work, as do any other cookies you like!
How to make no churn ice cream?
This ice cream will only take about 15 minutes to make! First, get out your stand mixer and fit it with the whisk attachment. Or get a large bowl and use a hand mixer.
Whip the whipping cream until medium peaks form. Add in the salt and vanilla and then mix until it’s well combined. Now it’s time to fold in the sweetened condensed milk. You’ll want to make sure it is well mixed but try not to deflate the whipping cream. It should look silly smooth!
Now add in the cookies and fold them in. Grab a large container and pour the ice cream into it. Or grab multiple small container. Transfer the ice cream to the freezer and freeze for 12 hours.
Homemade Cookies and Cream Ice Cream
- 1 L Whipping Cream
- 2 300ml Cans of Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp Sea Salt
- 3 cups Broken up Oreos
- In the bowl of a stand mixer, whip the whipping cream until medium peaks form.
- Add in the vanilla and salt and whip until well combined.
- Fold in the condensed milk until it is well combined.
- Now fold in the broken oreos.
- Transfer to a container and place in the freezer for 12 hours.
